Join us as Mid-Step Services celebrates the grand opening of the Turbes Medically Fragile Home, a newly constructed residential home named in honor of Mid-Step Services' former Executive Director, Gary Turbes, who founded the organization in 1977. This home represents an important milestone in their continued commitment to providing specialized care, support, and a safe, comfortable home for individuals with significant medical needs.

The Turbes Medically Fragile Home is a newly constructed duplex that provides a safe, comfortable, and supportive living environment for eight Mid-Step Services members with significant medical needs. They are proud to expand their residential services in the Riverside community and look forward to celebrating this special milestone with their staff, members, families, and community partners.

Mid-Step Services is a nonprofit organization founded in 1977 that provides residential, vocational, educational, and recreational services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. Serving more than 390 individuals throughout the Siouxland area, Mid-Step is dedicated to helping those we serve live meaningful, fulfilling, and independent lives. Through compassionate care, personalized support, and a commitment to inclusion, we strive to make a difference in the lives of individuals and their families every day.
