Position: Part-Time Maintenance Specialist                      FLSA Status: Part-Time/Hourly                Department: Maintenance                                                                 Job Status: 15 - 20 hrs./week
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm                  Salary: $15.00 an hour
                                                             
 Reports To: Director of Security, Housing, and Maintenance

Organization and Location:
This position is located at 601 E. College Drive, Winnebago, NE, 68071
 
Purpose of Position: The part-time Maintenance Specialist will assist in performing general cleaning duties, safety, and essential functions to ensure the facilities, employees, and students are in a safe, secure, and orderly environment of the Louis LaRose Memorial Building (Science Building). In this position, work will be completed as requested by the Director of Security, Housing, and Maintenance, and you will assist and support with daily cleaning tasks.  The position will work towards meeting the mission statement and purpose of the maintenance departments and the College.
 
Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the building.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, common areas, kitchen, classrooms, conference room, and offices.    
  • Water flowers, pick up trash 
  • Assists in examining the building for safety hazards; reports deficiencies to the Director of Maintenance, Security, and Housing.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
 Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Ability to interact with staff, students, and visitors at school while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Condition of Employment:
  • This is a 100% on-site position.
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background screen.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license without restrictions and must be insurable.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
